Understanding Hand and Foot Swelling: Causes, Risks, and When to See a Doctor

Swelling in the hands and feet, known as peripheral edema, can result from various causes. Temporary swelling may occur after prolonged standing or sitting but persistent or unexplained swelling needs medical attention.
