In a major breakthrough for renewable energy, a new solar power plant in Southern California has achieved a record-breaking efficiency of 32%, signaling a promising future for sustainable power. Operated by SunTech Power Solutions, the facility covers over 2,000 acres with more than two million photovoltaic panels that combine advanced perovskite and silicon technologies, along with bifacial design and sun-tracking systems. The project has generated over 1,200 construction jobs and continues to provide employment for maintenance staff.
